The Athletics Technician - Marketing and Promotions enhances game day experiences for fans and the community and serves as the point of contact for athletic advertising accounts. Responsibilities include promoting sports through game day previews, images, and social media; coordinating publicity efforts for student-athlete special awards or recognition; assists with operations for sports home events; assists with coordinating special events; enhancing game day experiences through in-game promotions and operations; and performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Work schedule is up to 20 hours per week.
An associate's degree and one year of experience in marketing and promotions are required; bachelor's degree preferred. Applicants will be evaluated on criteria including, but not limited to, experience implementing marketing plans for home games; experience coordinating in-game promotions; experience coordinating event preparation and executing events; experience developing content for e-mail marketing, web pages, video boards, and promotional materials; the ability to lead student body marketing efforts; and experience assisting with daily athletics department operations.
