COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING OFFICER, Supply Chain Management (SCM) Program/MIT Global Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence (SCALE) Network, to manage the implementation and analysis of external marketing, advertising, public relations, messaging, and general promotions for SCM programs and overall SCALE Network. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and measuring an integrated communications strategy; developing and managing the marketing budget; negotiating and managing consulting firm contracts; creating and developing websites; developing email strategy to target potential candidates; analyzing market data, analytics, target audiences, and other demographic data; developing and implementing a comprehensive media relations strategy; overseeing the creation and publication of blogs, print media, and other documents; organizing the SCM photo library; and handling a variety of administrative functions, i.e., organizing and running meetings, serving as spokesperson on marketing activities, and developing and maintaining relationships with the press.
Job Requirements REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; at least five years' related experience in marketing analysis and marketing technical operations; experience overseeing/supervising marketing function; experience using or supervising the use of technology tools for the internet, social media, electronic publishing, website creation, and data analysis; high-level proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint Excel); experience using or supervising the use of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) and social media with paid search (e.g., Google, Facebook, and Linked-In ads); proficiency with WebEx, Constant Contact, and MailChimp; comfort using and creating content for social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, WordPress); proficiency with Drupal 8, Word Press, or HTML; experience developing or supervising the development of websites using analytic tools such as Google Analytics; experience tailoring content to maximize search engine optimization; ability to multitask and juggle multiple requests simultaneously; and excellent organizational, writing, proofreading, and interpersonal skills.
