R&R Marketing Consultants, Inc (RRMCI), a leader in professional sales and marketing services in the automotive aftermarket, is actively seeking a sales and marketing representative to help support our sales efforts in the Minneapolis area and east north central region.
We are looking for the right person to help champion our brands throughout distribution in our regional territory. This position is responsible for positioning products, identifying new sales opportunities, and providing the highest level of service to our clients and their customers. This candidate will have an upbeat “never say no” attitude, be able to execute at the tactical level in the field, and be a great team player. The position is home office based with extensive travel (65%), including local and regional. This position reports to the Sales Director.
Product line management for automotive performance and truck accessory product lines.
Account support for key distributors.
Schedule and sales travel planning within the territory (65% travel).
Must be able to work weekends to provide support at events.
Responsible for executing sales goals in collaboration with sales director.
Lead product training at the account level.
Actively service existing accounts based on account needs.
Immediate sales lead follow-up.
Sales calls include seeking out new opportunities and calling on known jobbers/dealers.
Ensure ALL companies throughout the supply chain have up-to-date and accurate information.
Skills and Experience
Strong automotive and truck aftermarket background, ideally have experience working for a distributor, retailer, or manufacturer.
Possessing existing industry relationships a huge plus.
Must have a polished personal presentation and ability to professionally interact with decision makers.
Fast-paced - ability to respond and react on demand.
Good planner - you must be able to organize and plan effectively to maintain a solid schedule, while responding to immediate needs.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Must be well spoken, possess good writing skills, and able to present to a crowd.
Above average experience with Microsoft office (word, excel, powerpoint), and Google apps.
Maturity, integrity, and intelligence are a must.
Experience and Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or) 5-10 years of industry experience.
Sales and marketing experience.
Home office environment to accommodate the demands of the position working remote.
Quality car, clean driving record, and automotive insurance.
A really positive disposition and strong interpersonal skills.
