American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) has a wonderful opportunity for a Chief Products, Marketing & Sales Officer.
The Chief Products, Marketing & Sales Officer serves as a critical member of the executive team. The incumbent is a transformative leader and strategic visionary who can navigate the challenges of today and anticipate the challenges of the future. The ability to build strong and effective partnerships and provide strategic leadership to his/her sphere of influence; spearheads the strategy of product development transforming product ideas and content into actionable and projects while maintaining consideration of the financial implications, marketing needs, and the revenue objectives of the organization.
This position is responsible for:
Provide leadership and strategic direction to the organization’s sales program, inclusive of securing new customers, expanding opportunities within the current customer base through marketing initiatives, and delivering new product offerings both domestically and worldwide.
Responsibility to increase sales revenue through the design and implementation of appropriate sales strategies. Responsible for negotiating sales and business development transactions inclusive of licenses, transaction agreements, subscription agreements and partnerships.
Develop and continually evolve a long-term vision for the organization’s product offerings that provide value to our customers. Rapidly scale and iterate new products and offerings. Improve and innovate delivery platforms and systems, ensuring that it drives business metrics such as customer and revenue growth. Position content, ideas and products in ways that uniquely appeal to members and customers.
Manage ongoing feedback loops with customers, partners, employees and industry influencers to deliver insights and improvements for our customers efficiently as possible.
Responsible for addressing the needs of members for the organization including recruitment, retention, recognition, and leadership development strategies. Revise and enhance membership benefits and value on a regular basis.
Assure continued growth through proactive recruiting and organizational partnerships. Coordinate with marketing to develop a plan to implement outreach about membership. Own the dues revenue goals for the organization.
Lead and analyze innovative marketing strategies, create campaigns and initiatives that will drive and increase revenue, relevance and respect among the organization’s target audiences. Measure the success of marketing and creative campaigns across the business. Leverage influencer networks to create a lead generation machine for sales.
Responsible for maintenance and growth of a knowledge base within the organization’s space, competitors, competing offerings and products and regulatory activity. Conduct regular research, keeps up with trends and best practices, which give the organization a competitive edge.
Ten or more years executive management experience with progressive revenue producing responsibility
Diverse experience in the fields of product development, marketing and membership recruitment and retention
Expertise in development and management of a product and services sales force
Adherent to transparent, high integrity leadership
Ability to convey vision of organization’s strategic future to internal and external stake holders
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to represent the organization externally across a wide range of stakeholders
Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and an interest in building a strong organizational culture
Analytical thinking and decisive judgment - analyzing issues and problems systematically, gathering broad and balanced input, drawing sound conclusions and translating conclusions into timely decisions and actions
Deep understanding of real business drivers

Strong business acumen; ability to think holistically beyond their functional area and can see the big picture for the association, evaluates the risk/reward of decisions and the impact on all areas of the business
