JobSummary: The Marketing Manager is a member of the Marketing and Sales department and manages the daily functions of marketing and membership. This individual works closely with the Director of Marketing and Sales and with internal and external partners to achieve the Company’s marketing and public relations goals.

Management of Marketing and Membership Staff
Manages full- and part-time staff. Ensures staff are appropriately prepared to meet the goals and objectives of the organization.
Provides ongoing training in sales and customer service best practices; evaluates performance and provides constructive correction to staff when needed.
Communicates campaign objectives to staff.
Provides staff development and staff change recommendations to the Director of Marketing and sales.
Marketing and Membership Development
Develop and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing products
Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional activities
Develop and implement membership plans for the onboarding, engagement, and retention of potential and current members
Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products
Analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information
Expand and develop marketing platforms
Manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects
Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results
Deliver marketing activity within agreed budget
Report on key performance metrics
Track and analyze direct and interactive marketing campaigns.
Use statistical analysis and reports to create campaigns.
Execute segmentation around marketing plans.
Perform data extraction and lead generation.
Evaluate and optimize effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
Schedule and coordinate text and creative content.
Analyze campaign for key metrics.
State Association Partnership Management
Work directly with state associations, in particular at the high school level, to create agreements to incent membership.
Negotiate and execute on agreements.
Serve as the direct contact for the association’s leadership.
Work as the liaison between United Soccer Coaches and the state association
Essential Functions: Developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans for United Soccer Coaches in order to attract potential customers and retain existing ones.
Working Conditions: Most work is of a sedentary nature, sitting at a desk using a computer, phone and other office equipment. Work may require attendance at Board meetings and other company events. While a majority of work occurs in relation to a long term plan, will be required to be flexible to changing priorities and additional projects that can require work outside of normal business hours and ability to manage short term deadlines. Employee should be able to lift 25 pounds.

Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing-related field
Three to five years of professional experience in marketing or membership association related field.
Experience in all aspects of developing and managing marketing strategies
Technical marketing skills
Proven experience in customer and market research
Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
Knowledge of the soccer landscape across all levels (Youth, High School, College, Pro)
Ability to collaborate with staff, professional colleagues, and supporters.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in database management software (iMIS preferred)
Proficiency in marketing email platforms
Proficiency in Microsoft office (including; Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point)
