A small non-profit education association is seeking an experienced professional marketing manager to work part-time in its Reston, VA office 30 hours per week. This is not a tele-commuting position.
Working with program managers and the communication manager, the marketing manager will create and execute the organization’s marketing strategies and campaigns. Establish a cohesive “voice” and “look” for all communications efforts, both internal and external, encompassing traditional and virtual strategies to promote the organization’s brand.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to; website and social media content strategy, assisting colleagues with the development of surveys, forms and other collateral materials, high level strategic promotion of annual membership drive and the national conference, press releases, articles and emails,
Requirements include, but are not limited to; a Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in marketing/communications and three to five years of professional public relations or marketing experience – preferably for a non-profit organization. Advanced knowledge of SEO, social media, email marketing, analytics, project management experience, proficiency in Word, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, and Power Point, and creating print and digital media promotions are necessary. Knowledge and understanding of graphics and video is preferable as is experience in secondary education and/or the STEM community.
