This Brand & Product Marketing intake program is designed to immerse you in our marketing function and comprised of challenging role assignments across several of our key marketing areas:
Brand Management - activate and optimize in-market brand campaigns across multiple touch points
Consumer & Marketplace Insights - analyze marketplace and consumer insights to provide actionable recommendations to cross-functional teams/Sr. leaders
Channel Marketing - develop comprehensive marketing solutions to win with our Top Customers
Digital Marketing - work with agencies to develop digital marketing programs
Merchandising - identify and drive optimal pricing and promotional strategies to deliver profitable business results
At Whirlpool Corporation we develop world-class marketers through a combination of diverse commercial career experiences (across the four “Ps” of marketing), formal and informal learning curriculum, and mentorship. Full-time undergrad Brand & Product Marketing Immersion participants will join Whirlpool Corporation likely as a Brand Marketing Manager, Product Marketing Manager, or Merchandising Manager in one of our business units. From there your career interests, performance, and leadership potential dictate how fast and to which areas you can rotate and grow as a marketer. Typically our top talent is gaining new experiences every 24-36 months.
As a Brand & Product Marketing Immersion full-time hire you may have the opportunity to:
Activate and optimize in-market brand campaigns across multiple touch points
Work with agencies to develop digital marketing programs
Analyze marketplace and consumer insights to provide recommendations to Sr. Mgmt
Develop a comprehensive marketing solution to an existing opportunity /challenge
Understand the consumer purchase journey and how to influence at each point of the journey
Study consumer behavior to inform innovation decisions
Qualifications and Requirements:
MBA with concentration in Marketing
A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required
Past marketing experiences are a plus, strong preference for consumer marketing or category management experience
Strong analytical and statistical analysis skills
Promotable two career levels
Ability to influence others and drive 360 followership
Excellent communication skills
Strategic thinking skills (thinking three steps ahead)
Delivered results that have significantly impacted the business
