Description This is a full-time, non-exempt term position lasting six months to one year. Position Summary The Marketing Coordinator will play a vital role on the Marketing & Communications team with a special focus on Marketing & Brand Management and Integrated Communications. This position will assist in all aspects of marketing and promoting Vanderbilt University's Division I athletics program. The candidate will serve as the primary marketing contact for assigned sports and secondary contact for additional sports. Ideal candidate will identify and execute innovative elements to ensure an entertaining and engaging in-venue atmosphere at assigned sporting events; work with the ticket office to coordinate ticket sales and attendance initiatives, maximize revenue streams and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities This position is responsible for developing marketing, ticketing, advertising, social media and promotional plans for designated sports and managing the individual sports budgets; works with the marketing staff's graphic design team on cohesive branding and creative for marketing materials. Assists with implementing social media strategies, campaigns and presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social applications as needed. This position will be responsible to work and lead game day production for various sports. Works directly with a number of departments, including the coaching staffs for developing marketing plans and campaigns. Assist with miscellaneous athletic marketing projects, such as student volunteer program, kids club, fan upgrades and other assignments as needed Requirements Bachelor's degree required (ideally in Marketing, Business or a related field) · Ideal candidate will have experience with digital marketing, experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Dreamweaver. · Must be a proactive thinker who is interested in developing and executing new ideas to better improve the efficiency of the overall brand. Organized and detail oriented person who can work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Be a thought leader and early adopter of new and effective marketing strategies, with a constant goal of enhancing the guest experience and supporting business initiatives. Candidates must be able to work a non-standard work week including nights, weekends & holidays NOTE: A Term position is a staff position that exists for a period longer than six months but is not expected to last beyond one year.
